Iran, Russia stress expansion of ties in Eurasian context
Moscow, The Iranian Ministry of Energy and the SecretaryGeneral of the Eurasia Economic Union met in Moscow on Thursday and stressed further expansion of relations within context of recent Iranian agreement with the Union.
Reza Ardakanian met with Tigran Sarkisian on Thursday evening, while the Russian side expressed satisfaction with concluding a free trade agreement between Iran and the Eurasian Economic Union, while underlining adherence to the agreement reached within framework of the accord.
He also presented a report on the approval of the agreement in relevant parliaments.
Iranian Ministry of Energy, emphasizing the serious pursuit of the provisions of the recent agreement by parliament of Iran when returning to Tehran, expressed his hope that in light of the implementation of the agreement, the ground will be prepared for trade and services between Iran and the five countries of the Eurasian Economic Union including Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
Ardakanian has traveled to Moscow as chairman of the Joint Economic Commission of Iran and Russia in order to coordinate the 15th Summit of the Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation in Tehran.
