Iran sanctions not to work: President of Pakistani Kashmir
Islamabad, Iran is a responsible member of the international community and sanctions against the country will not work, stressed President of Pakistani administered Kashmir.
In an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), President Sardar Masood Khan described Iran as a brotherly, friendly nation.
'We hope that all problems related to Iran would be resolved peacefully and amicably,' President Masood Khan said.
We always hope that Iran would continue to support cause of Kashmir at all international forums, including Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), he said.
Pakistan's former Permanent Representative to the United Nations went on to hail Iran Leader's stance on Kashmir.
'We deeply appreciate the stance of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Kashmir,' he said.
He said that the 2015 Iran nuclear deal was a great diplomatic breakthrough and success for everybody in the international community.
Now, we hope that diplomacy would work again to move the entire process forward, he added.
President Masood Khan was of the view that if the US can negotiate with North Korea it can negotiate with Iran as well.
Iran is a responsible member of the international community and we hope that some sort of contract would be established between Iran and the US, he said.
We wish that diplomacy to succeed in this regards, we should give chance to dialogue and diplomacy he said.
US President Donald Trump has recently said the US is ready to hold talks with Iran without any preconditions.
However Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi, reacting to the statement, said the Islamic Republic of Iran's logic is based on dialogue and interaction, demanding mutual respect and compliance with the international commitments, in contrast to sanctions and pressures.
