Tehran, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri in a message extended condolences over the deadly air crash in central Iran.
'I hope that after finishing the operations and preparing the grounds, a glorious funeral procession of the victims happens soon,' he said while appreciating the efforts made by the armed forces and other relief agencies in the country to find the accident site and discover the bodies of the victims of the incident.
An ATR passenger plane belonging to Aseman Airline crashed close to Semirom, south of Isfahan province, on Sunday when it was flying from Tehran to Yasouj.
All 66 passengers and crew members of the plane are feared dead in the incident.
Rescue teams have been dispatched to the site where the Iranian ATR plane crashed on Sunday on top of Dena Mountain, the Secretary-General of Esfahan Red Crescent Society Mohsen Momeni earlier said.
The teams are investigating the area for transporting the dead bodies to the base of the mountain through air or land, he said.
'The plane has been broken to different parts; however, finding the black box of the plane is on the agenda,' he said.
