Iran speaker’s aide urges Europe to distance from US false policies
Tehran- European countries can help establish stability and prevent violence and extremism by distancing from the US' wrong policies, Iranian parliament speaker's advisor said.
There are various concerns in the region which can be solved through political solutions, Special Advisor to Majlis Speaker for International Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Wednesday in a meeting with Former Italian Prime Minister Massimo D'Alema.
He expressed regret over unwise policies adopted by president Trump and his regional allies, saying overt and covert support of the terrorist groups and US incorrect assessment of the developments in the region resulted in instability in the Middle East and North Africa.
In the recent decade some regional countries are being encouraged to war by US and the Zionist Regime, he said.
Meanwhile, D'Alema described Iran as an important country in the region, saying maintaining peace and stability in the region is not possible in the absence of Iran.
Criticizing the US policy towards regional and international issues, he said the US approach was worrying as regard international affairs and brought no aid to world peace and stability.
Elsewhere in his remarks, D'Alema pointed to Iran nuclear deal as an opportunity for developing political and economic ties.
Iran's commitment to nuclear accord has resulted in promoting interactions between both sides, he added.
D'Alema stressed on the need for holding political negotiations on regional crises and also prohibiting sale of weapons to hostile and warmonger regional states.
He also highlighted cooperation between the European Union and the regional countries.
