Iran steadfast combatant for regional peace: Serbian orientalist
BelgradeA Serbian orientalist said on Friday that Iran has always been an unwavering combatant for regional and extra-regional peace, stability and security and such a policy was effectually proved in the process of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Describing the Islamic Revolution as an example of cohesion, unity and solidarity between the people and the establishment, Rade Bojovic told IRNA that despite obstacles created in the way of the revolution, it had numerous achievements inside and outside the country and the nation feels the achievements well.
'Iran proved its righteousness in the international scene that it has no non-peaceful nuclear activities and it does not intend to build weapons of mass destruction,' he said.
Bojovic , who served as the dean of Linguistics and Orientology Faculty in the University of Belgrade, further noted that the agreement signed between Iran and 5+1 Group in 2015 and approved by the UN, was a big step in the international scene to settle challenges through dialogue.
As to US President Donald Trump's statements to walk away from the deal, he said that his remarks indicate that Trump is not committed to his predecessors' obligations.
Noting that the world has understood Iran's political power and admires Tehran's peaceful policies in the settlement of issues through dialogue, Bojovic said, 'As far as I know, 40 elections have so far been held in Iran after the victory of the Islamic Revolution and this reveals that the nation decide their fate independently.'
