Iran sympathizes with Indonesia over fatal earthquake
Tehran, Iran's Foreign Ministry in a message on Monday sympathized with Indonesian government and people over the strong earthquakes that left scores of people dead.
Expressing sadness over the strong earthquakes in eastern Indonesia, Bahram Qasemi, spokesman of Iran's Foreign Ministry sympathized with the families of the victims.
The magnitude 6.9 quake hit Lombok Island Sunday evening, leaving 82 people dead and hundreds more injured.
The quake also damaged thousands of buildings in the two islands of Bali and Lombok.
It was the second powerful earthquake in the past week that occurred at the depth of 31 in the far northern Lombok, and was felt also in Bali.
