Iran, Thailand discuss cooperation on university sport

Tehran, Head of Iran University Sport Federation (IUSF) Mohammad-Reza Dehkhoda, and Thailand's Minister of Tourism and Sports Weerasak Kowsurat discussed bilateral cooperation.

The meeting was held on the margin FISU Muay Thai World University Championship in Thailand.

The two sides discussed the importance of university sport and the role it can play in the wellbeing of the youth, as well as identifying the talents for national teams.

In the meantime, Dehkhoda who is also representative of International University Sport Federation (FISU), presented a report on IUSF.

He expressed hope that more cooperation between the two countries will lay the grounds for Iranian and Thai university students to participate in joint sport events.

The first FISU Muay Thai World University Championship was held in Pattaya, Thailand, from 23rd to 29th July.
