Iran to continue fighting smugglers more seriously

Ahvaz, Iran will counter smuggling of commodities in a more serious way this year, according to Border Guards Commander BrigadierGeneral Qassem Rezaei.

'Iran will make use of all its software and hardware equipment to fight smuggling,' Rezaei said.

The country's interests require fighting with all forms of smuggling, the commander said, adding that this year Iran will act much better than last year.

Iran pursues the case of two Iranian border guards who were kidnapped by terrorist groups last year and were transferred to Pakistan, Rezaei said.

He expressed the hope that with cooperation of the Pakistani government and intelligence agencies of both countries, the two countries will be released as soon as possible.
