Iran wins 4 gold, 4 silver medals in West Asia Badminton Competitions

Tehran, Iranian badminton players won four gold and four silver medals of the finals of the West Asia Badminton Competitions, held in Beirut, on Sunday.

The Iranians won the awards in the singles event for the U-15 competitions.

The Iranian bandminton player Ali Hayati played against Iranian badminton player Mohammad Zarchi and won over him to gain gold medal and stand champion.

Zarchi stood second and Syrians stood the third.

In the U-17 event, Iranian badminton player Nima Rostampour stood champion and won gold medal.

Iranian Reza Arbabi gained silver medal and Iraqi badminton players stood third.

In Girls' U-15, Fatemeh Mouneskhah won gold medal as champion, Fatemeh Babaie of Iran stood second and won the silver medal and Syrian badminton players stood jointly the third.

In Girls' U-17 category also two Iranian girl badminton players ranked champion and the second and won the gold and silver medals. Two badminton players from Jordan and Syria stood the third jointly.

The competitions were held in Beirut, Lebanon for two consecutive days and ended on Sunday.
