Iranian Army Chief of Staff to visit Pakistan on Sunday

Islamabad, Iranian Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri along with a high level delegation will start a three-day-long visit to Pakistan on July 15 (Sunday).

The visit is being carried out on the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

Major General Bagheri is scheduled to meet Pakistan's civilian and military leadership during the visit.

Bilateral ties, defense cooperation, border management, war against terrorism, regional and international developments would come under discussion during the meetings.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Iran in November last year and met with Iranian leaders to further enhance coordination between the two countries especially in defense sector.
