Iranian flood-hit victim awarded at Japanese drawing contest

Gorgan A seven-year-old flood-stricken victim Elham Gharanjiki from Gomishan County of Iran received an award at the World Children's Picture Contest in Japan on Monday.

The competition was held in various topics named agriculture, nature, environment, people as well as family.

The 26th World Children's Picture Contest received 18,146 entries from 76 countries and regions, the official website of the event reports.

Gomishan County that is located in northern of Iran was struck by heavy flood early this year.
