Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers shine in Croatia world c’ships

Tehran, Junior Iranian wrestlers Amir Hussein Khansari and Sajjad Abbas-pour won a gold and a silver medals respectively in the Greco-Roman competitions of 2018 World Cadet Wrestling Championships underway in Zagreb, Croatia Saturday.

Khansari ranked first in the 55 kg weight category and Abbas-pour took the second place in the 48 kg weight class of the international tourney.

In the 80 kg weight class, Mohammad Naghoosi managed to grab a bronze medal on Saturday.

Meanwhile, two other Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers managed to advance to semi-final on the second day of 2018 World Cadet Wrestling Championships.

Shahin Yadaghi in the 60 kg weight category and Mohammad Nosrati in the 92 kg weight class by defeating their rivals Saturday advanced to the semi-final of the international tournament.

Earlier, Iran's national junior freestyle wrestling team by bagging three gold, one silver and three bronze medals picked up the trophy of the 2018 World Cadet Wrestling Championships in freestyle.
