Iranian lawmakers revise CFT bill
Tehran, Iran's lawmakers modified the anti-terrorism bill to meet the requirements highlighted by the Guardian Council.
The corrected bill of Combating Financing of Terrorism was passed by 125 votes of Iranian parliamentarians out of a total 206 votes on Wednesday.
By the bill, lawmakers allowed the Iranian government to accept the international convention of CFT provided that a series of conditions are implemented to the convention.
The bill stipulates that the articles of the convention that are not in line with Iran's Constitution will not be binding.
Deputy of Iranian Foreign Minister for Parliamentary affairs, Hossein Panahi-Azar, also confirmed that all concerns about the bill have been removed.
The bill had been returned to the Parliament by other Iranian bodies, including the Guardian Council and the Expediency Council, to be amended
