Iranian movie bags two awards at Duhok FilmFest

Tehran, Life without Life written and directed by Kaveh Moeinfar hit the big screen in the sixth Duhok International Film Festival and won two main awards for the best feature film and the best screenplay.

The movie tells the story of a man suffering from cancer and his son who, through unusual ways, collects money from those who owe his father.

Ida Panahandeh, another Iranian filmmaker attending the event, won the Innovation Award for the Best First and Second Film at the World Cinema Competition at the festival.

The Duhok Festival, held in Iraqi Kurdistan, has been taking place annually since 2011.
