Iranian movies shining in Shanghai Int’l Film Fest
Tehran, Iranian Documentary 'Beloved' directed by Yaser Talebi and Iran's short film Dissect directed by Siavash Shahabi are supposed to be screened in the 2019 Shanghai International Film Festival.
The event is to be held on June 1014 in China.
According to IMDb website, 'Beloved' narrates the life of an 80yearold mother named Firouzeh who is fond of her isolated lifestyle in nature with her cows.
The film shows her kind and loving character and demonstrates her bravery and strength tackling the hardship of life in the Alborz Mountains without the modern comforts of technology. She believes happiness lies in the simplicity of life.
Earlier, the Beloved' reached the competition section of the 'Showcase of the World' of Canada's Hot Docs Festival.
The Iranian short movie Dissect narrates the story of a sudden death of a student at school.
The movie is also participating in Poland and the US festivals.
