Iranian provinces present tourism potential in Turkey
Ankara, Iran is presenting its tourism attractions at the third international tourism exposition in the Turkish city of Van.
Iran, along with three other countries in the region�Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia� and the host country, is participating in the four-day tourism exposition that kicked off on Friday.
The purpose of the exposition is announced to be developing and promoting tourism industry among the countries of the region.
Director General of Cultural Heritage, Handicraft, and Tourism in Ardebil Province, Nader Fallahi, told Islamic Republic News Agency that four Iranian provinces of Ardebil, Zanjan, East- and West Azarbaijan are presenting their tourism capacities and attractions.
He also noted that such events can boost productive relations among the countries of the region as they enjoy numerous commonalities and are trying to ease travel for each other's citizens.
The official noted that attracting foreign tourists, using experiences of the industry's specialists, and promoting foreign investments in tourism sector are among the benefits of participating in such exhibitions, particularly in the bordering provinces of Turkey and Caucasian countries.
An 'Order of Friendship' was awarded to governor of Van by his counterpart in Ardebil with the purpose of promoting economic, social and cultural relations, Fallahi said.
