Iranian speaker: US dual approaches endanger int’l peace
Tehran, Aug 28, US dual approaches resulted in creating insecurity and in endangering peace in the world, Majlis (Parliament) speaker Ali Larijani said.
Larijani made the remarks Monday in a meeting with Chile Senate speaker Guido Girardi.
Unfortunately, big powers pay no attention to cultural and traditional differences, he said.
He pointed to US attack on Iraq and Afghanistan as examples of such approach, saying most of the problems happened in recent decades are the results of this strategy.
There are some countries in which no elections has so far been held and even their so called parliament's staff are being adopted by top officials, he added.
He went on to say that internal conflicts and polarizing countries will pave the way for foreigners' presence.
Larijani urged independence and peace seeking countries to avoid such atmosphere to overcome their problems.
He also underscored the need to increase parliamentary, political and economic cooperation between Iran and Chile.
Meanwhile, Girardi said US President Donald Trump behaviors have created new challenges in the world.
Fighting such behaviors requires consensus of those countries seeking for international independence and peace, he added.
Chile speaker called for Iran's support in establishing international peace and security.
