Iranian team crowned champion in Beirut Taekwondo contests
Tehran, Iranian representative in 2018 Beirut Open Taekwondo Championships bagged six golds and two silvers to win the title of the tournament.
Iranian representative Shahrdari Varamin won six gold and two silver medals, standing in the first place with a total 48 points in men and women categories.
Morocco with four golds and 28 points finished runner-up and Ivory Coast with two golds, one bronze and 15 points was ranked third.
Gold, silver and bronze winners of the tournament earned 10, 6, and 3.6 points in World Taekwondo Olympic rankings, respectively.
225 athletes from 28 countries partook in the first edition of Beirut Taekwondo Championships in Lebanese capital city of Beirut on September 22-24.
