Iran’s 57kg freestyler misses final

Jakarta, Iran's 57kg freestyle wrestler Reza Atri with a defeat against the Mongolian opponent in the semi-final of this weight in Asian Games missed the final.

The competitions in the weight categories of 57, 86 and 97 kilograms combats in freestyle wrestling at the Asian Games began in the central hall of Jakarta on Sunday.

In 57 kg with 18 athletes, Reza Atri in the second round he defeated Bagavati of Nepal 10-0 and in the third round defeated the Sandip Tomar, the holder of gold medal from India, and reached the semi-final.

In the semi-final, Atri was defeated by Bakbayar Ardnabat of Mongolia who holds the world gold medal and Asia's bronze medal and failed to qualify for the final.
