Iran’s position strategic for Asia-Pacific air traffic: Official
Tehran, Aug 8, Iran enjoys a geographical, political and strategic position in two major air traffic flows that link Europe to Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East to Europe, said a senior Iranian aviation official on Tuesday.
Head of Iran Airports Holding Company Rahmatollah Mahabadi made the remarks in a meeting with a delegation from the Aviation Academy.
The Managing Director also emphasized that the two nations of Iran and South Korea have a remarkable history of cooperation and they can extend the ties into aviation field.
The Incheon International Airport is tightly competing with the best airports of the world, and the young age of the airport makes its experiences and information fresh and practical, he said elaborating the reasons why Iran is willing to cooperate with the South Korean Incheon Airport Aviation Academy.
Pointing to the detachment of Imam Khomeini International Airport from the Iran Airports Holding Company as an independent airport complex, he said that the current situation of Iran for international cooperation is far better than before with a significant increase in its air traffic.
