Iran’s ‘Redhead’ wins Eurasia award

Tehran, Iranian drama 'Redhead', directed by Karim Lakzadeh, won the Best Director award at the Fourth Eurasia International Monthly Film Festival in Moscow, Russia.

Redhead' is currently being screened at Art and Experience cinemas in Iran. It is the story of Farhad who has a family tragedy lurking around him. On a drive to their parents' house, they learn their uncle has laid claim on the house despite their father's will that has bequeathed it to his own children. An argument leads to more tragic incidents and soon cursed visions start to appear in Farhad's life, ifilmtv.ir reported.

The cast of the flick, which is making its second international appearance, includes Behzad Dorani, Ali Baqeri, Sonia Sanjari and Leila Taher-Pasand.

Eurasia International Monthly Film Festival is an independent festival for independent filmmakers. Currently it is an online festival with the annual gala screenings of the winning films.
