Iran’s Shamkhani leaves Tehran for Uzbekistan for bilateral talks
Tehran, IRNA – Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani left the Iranian capital for Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Tuesday.
Shamkhani’s two-day visit is taking place upon an invitation by his Uzbek counterpart Viktor Mahmudov.
Upgrading bilateral relations and discussions on the latest regional and international issues are the main agendas of Shamkhani’s visit to Tashkent.
Apart from meeting his Uzbek counterpart, the Iranian official is also scheduled to meet a number of other high-ranking officials from Uzbekistan during his visit to the Central Asian country.
