Iraqi Army Discovers ISIS Tunnel underneath Villages near Mosul
Iraqi Counter Terrorism Service forces uncover several tunnels used by Islamic State (ISIS / Daesh / ISIL) terrorists in recently recaptured villages around Mosul, Al-Alam News reports.
When we entered the Khazna Taba neighborhood (in Bartella) and after we liberated it, we found several tunnels. Among them is this tunnel you see here. This tunnel is 200 meters long and is 10 meters deep. It was used by Daesh (a commonly used Arabic acronym for Islamic State [ISIS / ISIL]) for meetings and to allow their leaders to move around during the battle, one of the army's officials said.
