Iraqi Forces Killed ISIS “Information & Propaganda Minister” in Mosul

Iraq Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday, Iraqi forces have killed Daesh (ISIS, ISIL, IS and Islamic State) Minister of propaganda and information in Iraq's Nineveh governorate, the country's defense ministry said Wednesday.

The local Daesh "information minister," who was responsible for publishing extremist literature, editing videos and creating jihadist websites, was killed in a strike against terrorist positions in Mosul, the ministry said.

The Iraqi operation to retake Mosul from terrorists has been going on for over a month since October 17 with Kurdish Peshmerga fighters, 30,000 Iraqi soldiers and Hashd Al Shaabi (Iraqi Popular Mobilazation - PMU) advancing on the city from the east, west and south. Mosul has been occupied by Daesh since June 2014.
