Iraqi Kurdish Peshmerga Forces Enter ISIS-Held Village of Faziliya
Iraqi Kurdish forces on Thursday entered the village of Faziliya at the foot of a range of hills east of Mosul, Al-Alam News Network reports.
The village had been held by the Islamic State (ISIS / Daesh / ISIL) terrorist group.
By Thursday morning all ISIS flags in the village had disappeared from view, indicating that the militants had slipped away or gone into hiding.
Operations against Mosul have slowed somewhat in recent days as forces east of the city are waiting for other units to push up from the south in order to further isolate Mosul.
