Iraqi Kurdistan premier thanks Iran for reopening borders
Erbil, The Iraqi Kurdistan prime minister appreciated Iran for reopening borders with this Iraqi region under current hard political and economic conditions.
Borderlines are very important to the people's livelihood, Nechirvan Barzani said in a television program.
After the September 2017 referendum in Kurdistan which was called as unconstitutional by the Iraqi court, the Iraqi government decided to close the joint borders between the Kurdistan region and the neighboring countries.
After the referendum, Barzani said, the Kurdistan region could solve many existing problems with Baghdad, hoping the two would reach an agreement on oil issue.
