Iraqi official hails IRGC’s role in fighting ISIS
Baghdad, Iraqi intelligence official lauded Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) for its role in fighting Takfiri terrorist groups, including Daesh in Syria and Iraq.
Head of Iraqi Military Intelligence Major General Sa'd A'laq made the remarks in a meeting with the Iran's military attache in Iraq Brigadier General Mostafa Moradian on Thursday.
He also donated a rifle to Moradian on behalf of the Iraqi army to appreciate IRGC for fighting terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria.
During the meeting, both sides also discussed the latest situation of bilateral relations.
On April 8, Trump placed IRGC on terrorism blacklist which drew fierce reaction from the global community.
In a reciprocal move, Iran also designated the US as sponsor of terrorism and its central command (CENTCOM) as a terrorist group.
