Iraqi political figure slams US aggression on Syria
Baghdad, Head of the Iraqi National Alliance Seyyed Ammar al-Hakim condemned the aggression launched by the US, UK and France on Syria.
He described the recent attack as blatant violation of Syrian sovereignty and a threat to Middle East security.
Hakim called for holding talks among the countries of the region to solve regional issues.
The aggressors have targeted an independent country with no international or regional resolution, he said.
He went on to say that these attacks have been conducted without authenticating claimes about use of chemical weapons in Douma.
The US together with its allies the UK and France targeted the Syrian capital city of Damascus early Saturday.
The US attack on a military base in Homs, western Syria injured 3 civilians, Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) earlier reported.
The media affiliated with the terrorists had claimed that the Syrian jet fighters conducted a chemical attack on Douma last Saturday killing 75 people and injuring scores of others.
This is while Syria had earlier warned against terrorists’ attempts to orchestrate chemical attack scenario in Eastern Ghouta.
