Iraqi security forces kill 15 Daesh terrorists
Baghdad, Iraqi security forces killed 15 Daesh terrorists on borders common with Syria.
Iraq Army media center in a statement announced that Iraqi forces killed ISIS members in a cave used as a shelter.
Iraqi forces targeted the cave in Akashat Town, west of Al Anbar Province, the statement reads.
During the operation some arms, explosive belt and weaponry were confiscated, it added.
Daesh terrorists have attempted to penetrate Karbala and cause sabotage in Muharram mourning rituals over the past weeks.
Iraqi forces have so far foiled all the moves.
Earlier Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) foiled terrorist attack on the mourning rituals sited in Diyala Province, eastern Iraq.
Mu?arram is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four sacred months of the year. The tenth day of Muharram is known as the Day of Ashura, part of the Mourning of Muharram for Shia Muslims and a day of fasting for Sunni Muslims. Shia Muslims mourn the death of Imam Hussein (A.S) and his family, respecting the sacrifice of the martyrs by praying in abundance and refraining from all the joyous events.
