IRNA ready to transfer knowledge to Azerbaijan Republic
Baku, Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Zia Hashemi emphasized the role of media in cementing ties between or among countries and said IRNA is ready to transfer its journalistic experience to Azeri media.
IRNA follows up holding a conference between Caspian Sea littoral states media via its Baku branch as well as its domestic branches, IRNA Chief said in a meeting with head of Azerbaijan Republic Press Council Aflatun Amashev.
He stressed utilizing the capabilities of IRNA School of Media Studies and said that it is planning to hold training courses for Azeri journalists there.
The top IRNA official also welcomed publishing joint special issues through media experience sharing.
Saying that IRNA has 60 domestic and 30 international branches, Hashemi announced that IRNA is highly active in the field of media.
Amashev, for his part, said, The region is home to 300 million people and holding Caspian Sea littoral states' media conference can promote relations on the regional level.
He proposed organizing joint conference with participation of journalists from Iranian and Azeri border cities.
Managing Director of IRNA is visiting Baku to participate in the sixth Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
