IRNA, Xinhua to hold joint photo exhibit in Beijing
Tehran, Aug 20, Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and the Chinese Xinhua News Agency will organize a joint photo exhibition in Beijing Book Fair slated to open August 23.
Managing Director of Iran Cultural Exhibitions Institute Masoud Shahram-Nia said on Saturday that the exhibition is to be attended by Iran's culture minister and head of Xinhua.
He further noted that Iran will take part in the Beijing Book Fair as a special guest with the motto of 'Iran Colorful Dream of Silk Road'.
Portraits of 24 veteran Iranian literati will be displayed during the upcoming Beijing Book Fair which will end on August 27.
Shahram-Nia also said that Iran's pavilion which has been decorated using Iranian traditional architecture sprawls an area of 500 square meters. A section of the pavilion will be devoted to introducing works of the authors participating in the Book Fair.
Referring to the presence of nine Iranian authors in the fair, he said that Houshang Moradi-Kermani, Hossein Payandeh, Marzieh Soleimani, Ali Asghar Seyyed Abadi and Shiva Moqanlou are among these writers.
According to the official, some 13 Iranian publishers will take part in the Beijing Book Fair and publications of 10 publishers will also be exhibited by Iran's Cultural Exhibitions Institute without their direct presence in the event.
