ISIS Kills Iraqis Refused Putting Rocket Launchers on Their Houses’ Roofs in Mosul: UN
A United Nations human rights spokesperson said on Tuesday that ISIS terrorists are killing residents of Iraqi Mosul refusing to put rocket launchers on the roofs of their houses.
Other civilian victims of ISIL reportedly suffered for allegedly leaking information or attempting to escape the city held by the terrorist group, said the spokesperson, Ravina Shamdasani, RIA Novosti reported.
"On November 11, ISIS reportedly shot and killed 12 civilians in Bakir neighborhood of Eastern Mosul city for allegedly refusing to let it install rockets on the rooftops of their houses," Shamdasani said.
The Iraqi offensive to recapture Mosul, the last ISIL stronghold in the country, began on October 17. Human rights watchdogs have repeatedly warned of the escalation of violence in and near Mosul, FNA reported.
