Islamic Revolution anniversary commemorated in Tokyo
BeijingA ceremony to mark the 39th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution was held with the attendance of Japanese senior officials, envoys, diplomats and military attaches in Tokyo on Friday.
Representatives of Japanese trade companies, cultural and media figures, professors and students and a group of Iranian residents in Tokyo participated in the eremony held in Iran mission in Tokyo.
The supervisor of Iran embassy in Tokyo Mashalah Shakeri pointed to the Islamic Revolution achievements in political, scientific, social and cultural fields.
He also stressed Iran compliance with its commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
He described JCPOA as a success in multilateral diplomacy in solving international crises.
He referred to the importance of fighting terrorism, saying that solving regional problems would be possible in the absence of trans-regional countries.
Meanwhile, vice minister of Japanese foreign minister for parliamentary affairs expressed Japan support of Iran deal which has been verified many times by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
He also referred to holding Iranology and archeology seminars in line with understanding Iran culture and civilization.
