Islamic Revolution attains great gains in 40 years: Envoy
Tehran, Ambassador of Iran to the Netherlands Alireza Jahangiri highlighted that during last 40 years the Islamic Revolution, despite all the threats, pressures and plots has acquired great achievements.
The ceremony commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory was held on Sunday in the city of The Hague by the Iranian embassy with the participation of Iranians living in the Netherlands as well as those interested in the Islamic Revolution from other nationalities.
The Iranian diplomat evaluated Iran's full independence in domestic and foreign policy as an important issue, and said, 'The Islamic Republic's authorities do not take any order for their policies, and people are taking part in various elections, including the presidential, parliamentary, Guardians Council and Assembly of Experts.
Jahangiri pointed to the end of his mission at the Iranian Embassy in The Hague within the next two months, and said, 'Good progress has been made in the relations between Tehran and Amsterdam over the past five years, and the volume of relations between the two countries has been boosted.'
He referred to the visits of three Dutch ministers and a parliamentary delegation to Tehran after 14 years and reminded that the ministers of Foreign Affairs and Agricultural Jihad have also traveled to the Netherlands on behalf of Iran.
There are also dozens of exchanges between the two countries in the various areas and good understanding between the two countries, he noted.
