Buenos Aires, Dozens of South American journalists, social communicators and intellectuals say Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution can serve as a source of light to show the future path of Latin America.
'Islamic Revolution is lighthouse for LatAm future'
'Iran's Islamic Revolution is a lighthouse for Latin American nations,' reads a letter written by more than 40 journos, writers and intellectuals from various South American countries, inclduing Argentina, Paraguay and Bolivia, that's been sent to Mohamad Farhad Koleini, Iran's Charge d'affaires in Argentina.
'The Islamic Revolution was a movement of faith and liberty, led by Islamic Republic of Iran founder Imam Khomeini and shaped by men and women of the country,' adds the letter that was sent to the Iranian Embassy in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires on Friday.
The signatories to the letter congratulated the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 and wrote that it 'marked a path of dignity, independence and sovereignty; principles that are very important for Latin America these days.'
Millions of Iranians across the country marked the 40th anniversary of 1979 Revolution on Monday.
