Islamic Unity Conference in Iran basis of solidarity in Islamic world: Omani Mufti
Doha, Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Ahmad Al-Khalili said that the 32nd International Islamic Unity Conference salted to be held in Tehran serves as the basis of sympathy and unity in the Islamic world.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Oman Mohammad Reza Nouri-Shahroudi late Sunday.
During the meeting which took place to invite Mufti to the upcoming event in the Iranian capital city of Tehran, both sides discussed cultural issues.
The 32nd International Islamic Unity Conference will be held in Tehran from November 23-25.
The conference will seek to pave the way for unity and solidarity in the Islamic world and bringing closer scientific and cultural views in various fields and delving into problems faced by the Muslims and offering solutions.
The attendees in the conference include Muslim elites, ministers of Islamic states, Muftis and scholars and university lecturers.
The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) is organizer of the 32nd International Islamic Unity Conference.
The theme of the conference is 'Palestine and 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution'.
