Israel after religious war in Quds: Palestinian figures
Ramallah, The recent raid of the Israelis on Al-Aqsa Mosque is a sign of an ominous plot to ignite a religious war in order to seize the first kiblah of Islam, some Palestinian figures told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
'The occupiers are in efforts to cause certain events, create tension and relate them to the mosque, close its doors and not to let the worshippers enter it so that closure so that closure of the mosquee becomes something ordinary and Palestinians accept it so easily,' said Director of Al-Aqsa Mosque Omar Al-Kiswani.
Some Israeli settlers, backed by the Zionist regime police force, attacked the Holy Mosque on Sunday.
After the US President Donald Trump announced his illegal decision to make the Islamic city of Quds as the capital of the Zionist regime, Al-Aqsa Mosque has been attacked several times.
Waqf and Religious Affairs of Palestine Youssef Ideiss told IRNA, 'Whatever the Zionists do in and around Al-Aqsa Mosque is paving the way for gaining complete control of the mosque.'
The minister also said the Zionist occupiers continue to desanctify Christian and Islamic sanctities.
Adnan al-Husayni, the Palestinian minister of al-Quds Affairs and the governor of the city said, 'What has recently been going on is within framework of the occupiers' plan to put an end to the issue of the Holy Mosque and exclude it from future political equations.'
'Saving Quds requires the mobilization of the Islamic and Arab countries.'
What's more, there are some reports, saying that the Zionist regime is excavating under the holy mosque to fine the remnants of what is called Solomon Temple.
Palestinian religious figures have repeatedly said that the holy mosque is not in good condition and the Zionists are planning to loot the mosque.
