Italy condemns Ahvaz terrorist attack
Rome, Italy's foreign ministry condemned the terrorist attack in Ahvaz and expressed sympathy with Iranian people.
'Italian foreign ministry condemns the barbaric attack that left scores of people killed and injured,' the ministry said in a statement.
The terrorist attack targeted Saturday a military parade and the civilian bystanders in the southwestern city of Ahvaz. Twenty-five people, including children, were killed and some 60 people were shot and injured by the terrorists.
A group, calling itself Al-Ahwazieh, has claimed the responsibility of the attack.
The ministry also expressed sympathy with Iranian people, particularly the relatives of the victims, over the bloody attack, the statement read.
