Italy MP calls for strengthening ties with Iran
Isfahan, Senior Italian lawmaker on Monday stressed improvement of cooperation with Iran in all fields, noting that the previous agreements should be executed as soon as possible.
The Italian senate is keen to improve cooperation with the Iranian parliament, President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Senate of Italy Vito Rosario Petrocelli said.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Isfahan Governor General Abbas Rezaei.
The Italian official called for implementation of Iran and Italy's bilateral relations, including Isfahan and Florence sister city agreement.
Isfahan and Florence sisterhood agreement was signed during Italy's then foreign minister Lamberto Dini visit to the region in February 2000.
In the meantime, Isfahan governor, for his part, called for formation of joint chambers of commerce with Italian cities, including Rome and Milan chambers.
He referred to the two countries' commonalities and urged improvement of allout ties between the two states.
