Japan says keen on stronger ties with Iran
Beijing, Tokyo is willing to widen all-out ties, the parliamentary cooperation in particular, with Tehran, a senior Japanese official said on Thursday.
Japanese and Iranian parliaments play an important role in promotion of bilateral ties, Tadamori Oshima, Speaker of Japan's House of Representatives said in a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Tokyo Morteza Rahmani-Movahed.
Japan is eager to enhance cooperation with Iran, Oshima said.
Referring to the 90th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Tehran and Tokyo next year, Oshima said his House is ready to have any kind of cooperation with the Iranian side.
About the Iran Deal, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Oshima said the deal is effective in preserving peace and stability in the world and region.
Japan supports the Iran Deal, stressed.
Iran's ambassador, too, said Iranian and Japanese parliaments can play a leading role in promotion of bilateral relations.
Rahmani-Movahed, at the end, presented a message of invitation from Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani to Oshima to travel to Tehran.
