JCPOA guarantees regional, global stability: EEAS
Tehran, Aug 5, European External Action Service (EEAS) in a statement said Iran's nuclear deal also known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) guarantees regional, international stability.
The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini attended President Hassan Rouhani inauguration ceremony today in Tehran.
'In the bilateral meetings the High Representative, acting also in her capacity as coordinator of the Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), discussed the state of implementation of the nuclear deal,' the statement reads.
'She stated that the JCPOA is delivering on its objectives as confirmed by the six International Agency for Atomic Energy reports and by the economic results following the lifting of nuclear related economic and financial sanctions.'
The High Representative reiterated the EU's unwavering commitment to the deal, recalled its historic significance, multilateral dimension and its importance for regional and global stability.
She underlined the need for a full and effective implementation of the deal by all parties throughout its duration.
'The High Representative reviewed the bilateral cooperation between EU and Iran on different areas. Both sides confirmed their interest in expanding this cooperation and discussions will continue at the next High Level Dialogue meeting.'
'The High Representative conferred with her interlocutors on the situation in the region. She stated her support for a regional mechanism of dialogue. She also discussed the need to urgently find a political solution to the conflict in Syria.'
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Thursday gave official seal of approval to President Rouhani who won a landslide victory and was re-elected as next president on May 19 presidential election.

Several foreign guests, heads of states and high ranking officials, including the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini are taking part in President's oath-taking ceremony.
Rouhani was re-elected for a second term in office on May 19, for another four years, sweeping over 23 million or 57 percent of the votes.
