Jordan condemns Chabahar terrorist attack
Tehran, Jordan has condemned Thursday terrorist attack on a police headquarters in Iranian port city of Chabahar which martyred two policemen and injured 43 others.
Jordan Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al Qatarneh said in a statement that his country condemns the terrorist incident and wishes speedy recovery for the injured.
He said Jordan keeps to be on front line of campaign against terrorism and terrorist groups.
Two policemen were martyred and as many as 43 people were injured in the Thursday terrorist suicide attack on a police headquarters in southeastern Chabahar port in SistanBalouchestan Province.
An informed source told IRNA that those martyred were Lieutenant Daryoush Ranjbar and conscript Nasser Darzadeh.
The source said driver of a Toyota Van, laden with explosives, tried to run into the police headquarters in Chabahar but police was brave and vigilant enough to take timely action and prevent him to do so. The suicide bomber then blew himself up and as a result two policemen were martyred and the suicide attacker was killed, according to the official.
