kidnapped railway engineer released in Sistan
Zahedan, Deputy Governor General of Sistan and Baluchestan province for security affairs Mohammad Hadi Mara'shi said on Sunday that the kidnapped railway engineer of Zahedan-Chabahar railway Mohsen Samimi was released and transferred to Zahedan.
Mara'shi told Islamic Republic News Agency IRNA) that the engineer was working somewhere close to Morad Ali village on July 10, 2018, when he was kidnapped by two armed assailants.
Following the incident necessary measures were taken by the provincial governorate general, Zahedan governorate, security forces and some regional elders which finally led to the release of the engineer.
Mara'shi said the engineer had been kidnapped for ransom, but without paying any money he was released.
