Kosar fighter being delivered to Iran’s Air Force
Tehran, Iranian minister of defense announced the delivery of Kosar fighter aircraft in the near future to the Army Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Brigadier General Amir Hatami made the remarks on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting on Wednesday that the production line of the fighter jet will soon be opened.
On the 31st of August, 2018, which coincides with the anniversary of the defense industry, the airline industry's day-to-day research and effort eventually succeeded and the first indigenous aircraft, an advanced fighter jet equipped with avionics and advanced 4th generation fire control, called Kosar, was flown.
The experts of the Air Industry Organization of the Ministry of Defense with participation of other industrial organizations of the Ministry of Defense, the Air Force, universities and knowledge-based companies, unveiled the jet fighter.
Promotion of combat capability and pilot training of the Army Air Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the localization of Avionics and advanced 4th generation fire control, mechanical and hydraulic systems, the engine with the use of a wide network of knowledge-based companies and industrial organizations of the Ministry of Defense, academic centers and Research using the advanced Avionics architecture and fire control using the 4th generation digital data network, utilizing multi-purpose displays technology, enhanced multipurpose firewall radar to enhance the detection of targets and threats, and the use of accurate radio navigation and the use of intelligent mapping system are among of the most important features and achievements of the aircraft.
