Larijani condoles over fatal passenger bus, oil tanker collision in western Iran
Tehran, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Wednesday condoled with the people of western Province of Kordestan over collision of a passenger bus and an oil tanker which claimed 11 lives and wounded seven individuals.
Larijani also sympathized with people and the bereaved families of the victims of the sad incident and also wished immediate recovery for those injured in the accident.
An oil tanker hit a passenger bus in Sanandaj on Tuesday night killing 11 passengers and wounding 4. Three people in the passing vehicles were also wounded.
The injured have been discharged from the hospital after being treated, Hirash Rezaei, director general of Kordestan Province governorate general's public relations, told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
Sanandaj police officer, Colonel Ramezan Naderi said the passenger bus had stopped out of bus terminal when the crash happened.
Experts are examining the cause of the accident, he added.
Sanandaj, the capital of Kordestan Province, is located in western Iran.
