Leader congratulates collapse of Daesh in Syria, Iraq

Tehran Leader of the Islamic Revolution congratulated the collapse of Daesh (ISIS) in Iraq and Syria and cautioned against the post-Daesh conspiracies.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made the remarks on Tuesday in a message released in response to a letter by Commander of Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Qasem Soleimani in which the latter announced termination of the 'corrupt tree of Daesh'.

The collapse of Daesh dominance would not only serve the regional countries and the Islamic World, but it would also serve the mankind, said the Leader in his message while congratulating Major General Soleimani on the great achievement.

The Leader also stressed the need to be vigilant against possible future plots of the powers who had created and sponsored Daesh terrorist group to spread their ill-omened dominance in Western Asia and make the Zionist regime the predominant power in the region.

Smashing the cancerous and fatal tumor, you have not only served greatly the regional states and the entire World of Islam, but you have also served all nations and humanity, the Leader said in his message to Major General Soleimani.

Earlier in the day, the commander of the IRGC Quds Force in a letter to the Leader announced the termination of the 'corrupt tree of Daesh' and congratulated the glorious victory to the Islamic World.

He also said that the Supreme Leader's wise leadership, resistance of the Iraqi and Syrian people, governments, and armies, as well as volunteer forces, militants and martyrs from other countries were the factors behind the triumph of the Resistance Front.
