League says US likely move denies Palestine historical right
Tehran- Secretary General of Muslim World League Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa says official recognition of Al Quds as the capital of the Zionist regime should be taken as a gesture to deny historical right of the Palestinian nation in Quds and counter international resolutions.
The League official website quoted Al-Issa as saying in a statement that such decisions will spark Muslims' extensive wrath, entailing dangerous consequences.
The statement hoped that the US would strive for promotion of peace because such moves (transfer of the embassy to Quds) would lead to escalation of Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
The statement said Quds is of high importance for Muslims to the extent that Muslims will admit no solution but a fair breakthrough that will not turn a blind eye to the history and rights of the Palestinians.
