Licensing of preferential trade agreements with Malaysian gov’t/ Iran, Qatar, Oman agreement on plant protection, plant quarantine/ Analysis of Iran’s position in the Network Readiness Index (NRI) in 2020
The Council of Ministers convened on Wednesday in a meeting that was chaired by President Dr Hassan Rouhani and in accordance with health protocols, both in person and online.
At the session, the report of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on "Analysis of Iran's position in the Network Readiness Index (NRI) in the year 2020" was examined.
The Council of Ministers then agreed to issue a permit to the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade to negotiate, initial and temporarily sign the Preferential Trade Agreement between the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Government of Malaysia.
With the approval of the Council of Ministers, a permit was issued to negotiate, initial and temporarily sign a cooperation agreement in the field of plant protection and plan quarantine between the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the governments of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman to
It is worth mentioning that the mentioned agreement has been made in order to maintain sustainable infrastructure of crop production and long-term national interests and food security of the country and in order to facilitate and accelerate the exchange of agricultural goods and equipment through the mentioned countries.
In addition, some amendments were made to the Executive Regulations on Targeted Subsidies and Expenditures.
The Council of Ministers also agreed on the allocation of funds to complete the operation of the water transfer system from Azad Dam to Sanandaj City.
Amendment of the resolution on reducing environmental pollution in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone was also discussed at the session.
