Magnitude 4 aftershock hits western Iran

Kermanshah, A magnitude 4 aftershock Sunday jolted the quake-hit Tazeh Abad town in western Iran.

The tremor occurred at 12:55 local time at 34.612 degrees latitude and 46.248 degrees longitude, and at an 8-km depth.

No immediate reports on the possible casualties or damage have been released.

A magnitude 5.9 quake that rocked Tazeh Abad, Kermanshah Province, at 2:43 am local time Sunday claimed two lives and injured 90 others.

The quake has been followed so far by more than 65 aftershocks.
