Majlis speaker: US cannot bring Iranians to knee
Iranian Parliament speaker Ali Larijani warned US that it would not be able to defeat the Great Iranian nation.
Larijani made the remarks Sunday addressing Majlis (parliament) open session on the occasion of the 13th Aban (November 4, ) named in Iran as the Student Day, which marks the take-over of the US embassy in Tehran.
US has been interfering in Iran's internal affairs for about 80 years, Larijani said, adding, 'We have seen many examples of crimes and treasons against Iran.'
Iranians will show US President Donald Trump that he will not be able to bring them to their knees, he said, citing the fate of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.
Just as they defeated Daesh terrorists, Iranians will cause regret for criminals in the White House.
Today all nations are outraged by US authoritarianism and are seeking to get rid of this evil government, said Larijani.
Elsewhere in his remarks Larijani referred to big changes made by the Islamic Revolution, saying Iranians forced US puppets out of the country.
Like Saddam, Trump is aimed to come into conflict with Iranians and wants to torture Iranian people especially women and kids, he said.
The illegal US administration has become the subject of redicule for the world.
The current unreasonable state of America has been the cause of ridicule of the world's politicians, he noted.
